The Times They are a-Changin’

This Bob Dylan song was written in the early part of the 1960s.

Here, at CMO, we are making changes to keep pace with the times.  Like many have experiened, the Covid lockdown took its toll on us, too.  This season, we continue in the stages of “bouncing back” after eighteen months of closure.

Go Green” is a familiar expression these days.

Over the years, we have used hundreds  –  indeed, thousands  –  of sheets of paper and cardboard to produce printed concert tickets, posters, and programmes.  The cost, financially, to the CMO is north of $1000 per season.   Furthermore, apart from the few souvenir collectors, the vast majority of this paper is “single use only” and discarded into recycle bins and landfills.

These products had their place in their time.  But that was then, and this is now.  We, too, are striving to reduce costs and waste by “going green” whenever possible.

Computers and the internet changed all that.

A year ago, we stopped printing tickets with the move to online sales at EventBrite and admittance by cash at the door.  A few months later, paper posters were discontinued as an ineffective means for generating sales.  The remaining item printed in bulk is the concert programme.

Welcome to our Website

We recognise the increasing number of cell phones and computer devices in our community.  The same digital PDF which, through the years, has been prepared for a publishing company can be uploaded to our website for viewing. It looks exactly the same as its paper “cousin” except that it is on your screen.

Digital Programmes

View the digital programme while online, or easily download the file to your device for reading when offline. Bring your device to the concert hall. The ultimate goal is to eliminate the printed programmes in the future.  We ask you, our audience, to join us in this effort.

The online format will appear as one file of several pages which can be flipped or scrolled through like any other PDF.  Feel free to download this file, send it to family and friends, or direct others to view this programme on our website :  Digital Programmes .

  • If using the MENU, the programme is located under the Digital Programmes TAB.

Printed Programmes

While we encourage viewing the digital programme on computers and mobile devices, there is the option to print a DIY copy if you wish.  It will require 8 1/2″ x 11″ copier paper, one programme page per sheet.  Set the printer’s option to print on both sides of the paper, if desired.

Also, there are printable versions which fold into the standard programme style as two images per page with double-sided printing.  One version is for printers which automatically turn/flip images or paper during the printing process;  the other version is for printers which do not (i.e.  To facilitate this process, some images have been rotated 180 degrees in the original file).
