ABOUT THE CMO

The Chilliwack Metropolitan Orchestra is a 50-player orchestra founded in 2008 by local volunteer musicians who were dedicated to performing high-quality symphony concerts for the patrons of the Fraser Valley. For over a decade we have presented some of the very best in guest soloists, including Dr. Janice Fehlauer, Dr. Robert Silverman, Jennifer Lim, Dr. Sarah Davis Buechner, Jane Hayes, Sibohan Raupach, Andrew Greenwood, Crystal Hicks, and Stanley Tsang—just to name a few! We also have presented innovative collaborations with other musical organizations such as the Beatles tribute group (The Fab FourEver) as well as members of the Chilliwack Players Guild. Our epic Titanic Commemoration Concert in April 2024 was a huge success with a roaring standing ovation.

We are a non-profit organization and perform with the revenue from ticket sales and generous donations from our patrons. We present four concerts each season at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre, HUB THEATRE.

Our goals are to have fun together by producing beautiful music and to foster a love for art and, especially, music in our local community.
